The second wine of Chateau Pédesclaux a Pauillac Grand Cru. The estate grows about 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc. Fermented in stainless steel vats with ageing for one year in new French oak barrels. Château Pédesclaux was founded in 1810 by winebroker Pierre Urbain Pédesclaux, who operated it with his wife until 1891, when the estate was sold to the Count de Gastebois. In 1930, Lucien Jugla became tenant, and eventually purchased the Château in 1950. The estate remains in the Jugla family today.
