The Morisoli Vineyard is located between Manley and Niebaum Lanes in Rutherford, 3/4 of a mile west of Highway 29 at the base of Mount St. John. Its increased elevation and gravelly soil yield a wine of great structure and abundant fruit flavors. Elyse has been making Zinfandel from the Morisoli Vineyard since 1986, and have been the only producer working with these grapes since 1988. The old field-blend vines, Rutherford Bench terroir, and traditional farming practices always create a truly distinctive style of Zinfandel. 2018 vintage – 81% Zinfandel, 19% combination of Alicante Bouschet, Carignane, Durif, Grand Noir, Muscat Hamburg, Négrette, Syrah, and Valdiguié. 14 day native yeast fermentation. Aged 10-1/2 months in American oak (26% new).
