Dusky Goose Pinot Noir 2014, Dundee Hills, Oregon

Located in the northwest corner of Oregon, the Dundee Hills AVA is Oregon’s premier Pinot Noir growing region. From this region comes Dusky Goose, a distinctive Pinot Noir produced from grapes grown in the Rambouillet Vineyard and select blocks from Dundee Hills neighbors. The location of the Rambouillet Vineyard was selected for its slope, ideal elevations for ripening fruit, and 100% Jory (volcanic) soil. “The combination of elements produces a velvety soft Pinot Noir, deep and complex, while infusing vibrant aromas of sweet rose, red cherry, black cherry, dried cherry, a distinctive wildness at core, finishing with hints of vanilla and complex spice. Dusky Goose Pinot Noir demonstrates a structure that seamlessly balances the acidity and tannins with a satin-like texture.” – From the Winery. Lynn Penner-Ash, Winemaker.
