Dunham Cabernet Sauvignon XXIII, 2017, Columbia Valley, Washington

“Another outstanding rendition of our flagship wine, the 2017 Dunham Cabernet leads with aromas of cocoa, aged cedar and spice before revealing notes of blackcurrant, dried cranberry and plum. On the palate, robust red fruit shines through as freshly baked strawberries and raspberries are complemented by savory dried herbs. Showcasing serious depth and finesse, the supple tannins and fresh acidity extend the complex flavors along a wonderfully long finish.” Varietals: 88% Caernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 5% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot. Oak: 47% new French, 8% new American, 45% neutral. The winery makes its home in a rustic, remodeled World War II era airplane hangar in Walla Walla, Washington, and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2020.
