Duckhorn has been making this Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc since 1982. The grapes are harvested from Duckhorn’s estates and select Napa Valley vineyards. 2019 vintage: 81% Sauvignon Blanc, 19% Sémillon. Aging & Oak: 5 months sur lie, 92% stainless steel, 8% new French oak. Winemaker’s notes: This bright and captivating Sauvignon Blanc begins with head-turning aromas of pineapple, mango, guava, lemon cream and nectarine. The luxurious tropical notes are echoed on the palate, where they mingle with flavors of lychee, peach, white flowers and honeydew melon, all gliding to a fresh and focused finish. Production: 2019 brought another exceptional vintage to Napa Valley, resulting in wines with alluring polish and poise! The season began with a wet winter followed by a mild spring. While this led to a slightly later-than-normal start to the season, ideal summer weather with no significant heat spikes ensured ideal flavor development, yielding complex and vibrant whites, and refined reds with elegant tannins, enticing aromatics and beautiful fruit flavors.
