Domaine Carneros by Taittinger Brut Vintage Cuvée 2018, Carneros, California

The Vintage Brut Cuvée is the signature wine of Domaine Carneros. It encompasses the widest range of estate clones and vineyard blocks of the winery’s collection. The tapestry of flavors that result, married with the inherent finesse of the cool Carneros fruit, create wines of depth and complexity that are enhanced by a minimum of three years of bottle age sur lie in the cellar before release. Aromas of white flowers, apple pie, and citrus peel are enhanced with notes of toast and vanilla. The wine is elegantly structured, round and flavorful with a signature long, creamy finish. 2017 vintage – “Our Estate Brut is a small cuvée comprised only of grapes grown in our own vineyards. The wine was aged a minimum of three years in our cellar. We love this wine now, but know it has exceptional further aging potential.” – winery. This very focused and elegant wine displays lovely aromas of green apple, macadamia nut, honeycomb, and yuzu. The palate features pear, quince and lychee. This wine is full, rich and round, with all of the usual signatures of our Estate fruit. The lingering, long finish is another trademark of this wine’s character.
