Chateau Tronquoy-Lalande Bordeaux Blanc 2015, Saint-Estèphe, France

Chateau Tronquoy-Lalande, located in the heart of the appellation, is one of the oldest crus of Saint-Estephe. It owes its name to François Tronquoy, the first owner of the estate, and to the place called La Lande on which the historic plot of the Chateau is planted. In 2006, Martin and Olivier Bouygues discovered this vineyard of character historically renowned for being one of the most beautiful terroirs of Saint-Estephe. Advised by specialists, they acquired it, marking the beginning of a new era in the history of the property. Since 2011, one hectare of the vineyard, located in the upper part of the plateau of the property, is dedicated to the production of a white wine: Tronquoy-Lalande Blanc. Two grape varieties make up its blend: Semillon and Sauvignon Gris. The harvest is carried out manually in crates by successive sorting on the stand. Tronquoy-Lalande Blanc is vinified in barrels and raised on lees for 6 to 9 months. Of great finesse, this wine is endowed with a real aromatic personality of white flowers and citrus fruits.
