2017 vintage – 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot. Aged 12 months in oak barrels. Terroir: Deep graves. Elegant wine, fresh, tense, subtly woody, balanced, beautiful length. Château Paveil de Luze is one of the oldest properties in the Médoc. On the route of the grands crus, in the heart of the Margaux appellation, in the small town of Soussans, stands a beautiful building with two towers that forms a landmark in a horizon of vineyards. The vineyard of Paveil dates from the XVII century and belonged until the end of the eighteenth century to the Lords of Bretonneau whose one of the members married during the reign of Louis XV, a daughter of the Chevalier de Rauzan. In 1862, Baron Alfred de Luze bought this magnificent estate of 120 hectares and made his wines known throughout the world. In 2004, Frédéric de LUZE took over the management of the estate and it is a whole family that supports him, surrounds him and helps him to the good conduct and notoriety of this beautiful property.
