The Roux family acquired the Château du Trignon in 1896. Back then it was a traditional provençal farm of the time, with mixed and livestock farming. Since then 5 generations have refocused the farm on the vine and expanded the estate across a number of neighboring appellations: Gigondas, Rasteau, Sablet et Côtes du Rhône. 2017 – Intense ruby color. Strawberries, redcurrants, bil-berries. Smooth and well-balanced on the palate. A soft, fruity wine. Terroir: 3 terroirs : -13 ha of clay and limestone -6 ha of ancient alluvial deposit -1,5 ha of standstone. Winemaking: 3-day maceration prior to fermentation. Vatting time: 8 to 12 days, Grape varities: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre. Aromas of crushed roses and red berries lead to a palate that has a very light, lithe and juicy, red fruit core.
