Château de Chantegrive Rouge Graves 2010, Bordeaux, France

Château de Chantegrive is today one of the largest and most prestigious estates in the Graves appellation with 97 hectares (240 acres) of vines. Soil composition: sand and pebbles over limestone and clay subsoil. Grape varieties: 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. Average age of vines: 25 years. Grapes harvested by hand and vinification takes place in thermoregulated stainless steel vats. Aged 18 months in barrels, 1/3 new each year.
