Grape Variety: Pinot Noir. Soil: Clay and limestone. Site: A Chanson “monopole” in the very heart of the first Growths vineyards of Beaune. The vineyard covering 3.80 ha is located on a mid slope. The “Clos des Fèves” was already known in the 14th century under the Latin word “Fae”. The red wines develop beautiful aromas of ripe red and black berries with a fleshy texture. Aging in oak casks during 17 months. Tasting : Dark color. Intense aromas of cherries (Burlat) and small dark olives. Well-structured, ample and complex, true to its terroir. Very long and fleshy finish with well integrated tannins. Outstanding aging potential.
