Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2019, 750ml

Casanova di Neri was established in 1971 when Giovanni Neri acquired a large estate within Montalcino. There are now 48 hectares of vineyards (120 acres) divided amongst four distinct sites. Today the property is operated and wines made by Giacomo Neri. The 2008 vintage is the 30th for this label. Vineyards: Fiesole (E exposure, Galestro soil, next to the winery), Poderuccio (E exposure, Galestro soil, surrounded by oak woods.), and Podernuovo (E exposure, Galestro soil, the highest vineyard of the estate. Its particular microclimate enhances its elegance and aging; the presence of chestnut trees contributes to the scents). Vinification – Selection table for bunches, de-stemming, selection table for individual grapes. Fermentation without addition of yeasts and maceration in open temperature controlled conical vats for 3 to 4 weeks. Aged in oak barrels for about 42 months and 6 months bottles in bottles.
