Bench Chardonnay 2021, Sonoma County, California

Sourced from two vineyards in the Russian River Valley, Fiidelis and Bazzano. Fermentation – Whole cluster pressed to tank and cold settled overnight then racked off heavy solids to tank and barrels. The tank was inoculated with proprietary yeast, barrels were allowed to ferment with indigenous flora. ML was arrested to retain a bright, mineral style of wine. Cooperage & Aging: 60% Stainless steel and 40% barrel fermented. The 2018 Bench Chardonnay: “Glimmering honey colored in the glass, a delicate nose of apple blossoms, lemon candy and pie crust are immediately apparent. Mouth-filling and well textured. Bright acidity and Dngling minerality reveal flavors of salty almond streusel and baked pear followed by a long, seamless finish.” – Winery
