Barnard Griffin Winery is situated in south-central Washington at the confluence of the Yakima, Columbia, and Snake Rivers, in the heart of Washington State’s wine country. Founded in 1983 by Rob Griffin and Deborah Barnard, Barnard Griffin has been producing wines for over 30 years. 2021 vintage: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Syrah, 11% Merlot. Pumpovers 2 times daily; pressed at 1-3% sugar; peak fermentation temperature 85 degrees; aged 17 months in barrel. Tasting notes: A symphony of bright black cherry, plum and blackberry flavors sound off on the palate. Spicy oak and dark chocolate accents glide across the long finish. Full-bodied and rich, yet fresh and full of youthful exuberance.
