Barnard Griffin Winery is situated in south-central Washington at the confluence of the Yakima, Columbia, and Snake Rivers, in the heart of Washington State’s wine country. Founded in 1983 by Rob Griffin and Deborah Barnard, Barnard Griffin has been producing wines for over 30 years. 2019 – 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20.% Merlot. Winemaking: Pumpovers 2 times daily; pressed at 2% sugar; peak fermentation temperature 85 degrees; aged 18 months in old and barrel using both neutral and new European oak. Further ageing in upright oak oval tanks. “Explosive plum, black cherry and orange zest flavors are cushioned by discreet wood spice, menthol and black licorice notes. Vibrant and youthful, showcasing five amazing Washington Cabernet vineyards.”
