Barbanera Chianti DOCG 2019, Tuscany, Italy

The intense and young purplish red of this wine is related to strong vinous and fruity perceptions marked by forest berries, cherries and spiced hints of violets. The company was founded in 1938 by Altero Barbanera and his wife Maria in the small village of Piazze, located in the commune of Cetona – where it is still based today. Today the winery can boast the very latest state-of-the-art bottling technology and has an ever-increasing production capacity. However, production is not solely focused on high volumes – the aim is equally to maintain a level of quality which exceeds customers’ expectations. An important factor is the very wide range of wines offered – not only comprising a full range of Tuscan of wines at all levels, but now also wines from other regions of Italy, including Sicily.
