Attilio Ghisolfi Barolo DOCG Bussia 2016, Piedmont, Italy

The grapes for this wine come from south and southwest facing vineyards that are between five and 13 years old, at about 985-1150 ft (300 to 350 meters) in altitude in marly, white tufa terroir in the Visette (Bussia) area, near the village of Monforte d’Alba. Fermentation takes place with the use exclsively of indigenos yeasts. The maceration lasts about 16 days at controlled temperatures between 25 and 30°C. Aged in Slavonian oak barrels of 25 – 30 Hl for 30 months. Aged in bottle for 6 months at a controlled temperature of 15°C. Taste: : The taste envelops the palate with strength, harmony and fullnessand maintains it for a long time. Moderately tannic and suitable for consumption from a young age.
