Albino Rocca Barbaresco DOCG 2021, Piedmont, Italy

This Barbaresco comes from the vinification of Nebbiolo grapes from the youngest vineyards of the company, located in the Barbaresco area. The result is a wine with elegant characteristics, less inclined to longevity. Area of origin: Barbaresco, Neive and San Rocco Seno d’Elvio (Alba). Exposure: from south east to south west. Soil: Marly and calcareous, with more of less accentuated presence of clay and sand. 100% Nebbiolo. Maturation: at least 20 months in German and Austrian oak barrels. The Rocco’s story was born in the mid-40s, when Giacomo Rocca started the wine business, first selling the grapes from the family vineyards and then vinifying them on his own. It was in the 60s that Albino Rocca was able to found what is now the company. Now followed by Angelo Rocca, the family has progressively acquired vineyards. The vinification of Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera, the increasing attention to the production of Barbaresco and the determined and constant search for quality, has resulted in the building of the family’s history.
