Adelsheim Pinot Noir Elizabeth's Reserve 2015, Willamette Valley, Oregon

Take home Willamette Valley history in a bottle. 2015 will be the capstone vintage of our iconic Elizabeth’s Reserve Pinot noir. For nearly four decades the “Lizzie” has helped define the celebrated terroir of Willamette Valley Pinot noir. For this final vintage, Winemaker Gina Hennen, selected fruit from 13 of Willamette Valley’s most exceptional vineyards throughout the Chehalem Mountains, Dundee Hills, and Eola-Amity Hills. This collectible vintage shows notes of blueberry, lavender, and delicate spice, flowing into the voluminous yet refined palate. Its elegant structure will develop gracefully as you age this special vintage for years to come. 100% Pinot Noir, Aging: 28% New French Oak for 12 months / in tank for 5 months. Notes from Winemaker, Gina Hennen: “Ahh, the final Elizabeth’s Reserve. Nothing I can say will do this wine justice. As with all of our versions of Lizzie, there’s just so much going on in this wine. There is a lovely delineated fruit profile on the nose followed by notes of cedar bark, baking spices, cocoa, and loam. I love the texture – there’s volume and persistence, but with that tight-knit underpinning that to me defines the Elizabeth’s Reserve.”
