A Tribute To Grace Wine Company is dedicated to crafting authentic expressions of Grenache. All wines are single-vineyard sourced to maintain authenticity, and remain 100% Grenache. Angela Osborne is a New Zealand born winemaker who moved to California in 2006 with the dream of making Grenache. Abundant sunshine and entrepreneurial spirit led Angela to California, and in 2007 she sourced her first Grenache fruit from the Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard. Nestled high above the Pacific Ocean and 33 miles inland, this high-desert vineyard provided the perfect balance of heat and light. “I chose to name my label after two of my favorite things: my Grandmother Grace, and my most beloved attribute. My winemaking intention is to capture this spirit, and stay as close to nature as humanly possible. The trio is completed by the grape itself, which to me encapsulates grace.” – Angela Ostorne. With gracious thanks to the beautiful growing season of 2018, this wine celebrates the 6th vintage of Tuesday night grace. Representing five vastly different expressions within this climate: the Highlands with her 3200 feet elevation extremity and wide open skies (Alban and Noir clones), the Vie Caprice vineyard with 5 x 4 spacing amidst Santa Ynez horse country, an organically farmed haven in Happy Canyon, and the wind-swept natural amphitheater of Spear Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills. 20% whole-cluster, 11 months in neutral barrique and puncheon, racked once under the new moon of July 2019, and bottled two weeks later. Tasting notes: black cherry, garrigue and bindi olives.
