Product Description

The historic town of Chinon, with its imposing castle ruin, has long been considered as one of the best origins for Loire red wines. Here on the banks of the river Vienne, mainly Cabernet Franc grows on limestone and tuface soils in Cravant-les Côteaux, Sazilly and Beaumont-en-Véron (in the latter village the Chinon of Langlois-Chateau grows). The Chinon has middle weight and a complex and fruity taste. A lovely red Loire wine. Harvest: Hand and mechanical picking, depending on the maturity and the condition of crop. 55 Hl / Ha. Vinification: Harvest totally destalked. Maceration in thermo-regulated steel tanks for 15 days. Maturing in steel tanks, bottling before summer. Ruby color, A delicate nose of red fruits (raspberry & strawberry). Supple, round and fruity on the palate.
